Since 2018, we have worked with hundreds of individuals and organizations as they explore this glorious nonprofit world for themselves. This is what someone said just last week (today someone also called us a "beautiful angel" but that was BEFORE we scheduled with them so who knows what our meeting will be like 🤣). We help people start and manage the kinds of organizations that help communities thrive...and we've been doing the work that matters for 115 years.

And it's about how we're more than a landlord (although we're also a nonprofit landlord!-)

When a nonprofit outgrows our center, it’s always a bittersweet moment but it’s also one of our pillars of service.

As the kind of organization that takes social purpose real estate verrrrrrry seriously, our mission is to incubate local organizations by providing stable, well-maintained, and mission-aligned commercial space so they can focus on what matters most: serving our community. We know it's a shocker but we have a very real solution for you...We have a couple of fantastic coffee machines in our nonprofit center and you can just stop by and get a cup.

Better yet, you can use one of our meeting spaces, drink coffee and get work done. You're welcome 🤣

Monday isn't just a holiday for our center, our staff and many of our nonprofit partners. It's also about acknowledging history. Our 115 year history (short by these standards) isn't just about looking backward; it’s about honoring the truth of where we stand today, the values we live by, and understanding our shared responsibility to respect the community where we serve.

We invest in more than just nonprofit space...we invest in nonprofits doing transformative work and that means designing programs and services that help them expand their impact in community. That's what's baked into our professional values.

We're going to be relaunching an initiative that we started pre-covid and it's an exciting add on to our existing professional development and technical assistance to local nonprofits. It's how we collaborate to make community better for all of us.

Short commercial break for a Friday PSA...because collaboration isn't just a word to us.

As nonprofits, we don't get anywhere by competing for resources—and today was a perfect reminder of what happens when we lean on each other.

Two of our member organizations hosted Day of Service volunteers today. When one team wrapped up their project early, nobody packed up and went home, nobody suggested we couldn't share the resources...in support of all of our missions. Instead, those volunteers flowed right into the second project to help cross the finish line. That's how we all continue to support our community.

No territory lines, no hesitation to share hands, and everyone shared the pizza at lunch. 🍕

Huge thank you to United Way and all our incredible volunteers for showing up, working hard, and proving that we are always stronger together.
