Our ESL Conversation Class carved pumpkins for the first time tonight. It was a fun way to bring a little American culture into class while practicing conversation, sharing laughs, and trying something new together. We love creating opportunities for our learners to build language skills and community at the same time.

Think you can spell a word you’ve never seen before? Good, because none of these words are real!

Join South Central Literacy Council at Fall Fest on October 24 for our Adult Nonsense Word Spelling Bee, sponsored by Dr. Ryan Broyles with Hear Kentucky.

Contestants will use the sounds they hear to spell completely made-up words. It’s fun, a little ridiculous, and based on a very real literacy skill: decoding unfamiliar words.

🏆 Prizes for 1st and 2nd place!
🐝 Spelling Bee takes place before the Cheesecake Chomp.
