P.A.W.S. For Patriots 🐾🇺🇸

We’re teaming up to launch this new initiative, organized by Fort Worth Animal Care & Control aimed at providing therapeutic volunteer opportunities for veterans that not only enhance their emotional well-being but also improves the lives of shelter animals in need.

Save the Date!

· When: Saturday, Nov. 16
· Time: Noon to 5 p.m.
· Where: North Animal Campus, 351 Hillshire Drive, Fort Worth 76052

Free pet vaccines will be available for service members and veterans, along with resource bags to take home.

Many veterans face significant challenges during their transition back to civilian life, including stress, anxiety and depression.

Participants will be empowered to:

· Serve: Engage in socialization, training and exercise for shelter animals.

· Connect: Join a community that values discipline and commitment.

· Heal: Experience the therapeutic benefits of working with animals.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their furry friends to join in the festivities (just remember to keep them on a leash to ensure safety for all).

Food trucks and local vendors will be present.

Known as the “Six Triple Eight,” the women accomplished the incredible task of moving a two-year backlog of undelivered mail to 7,000,000 servicemembers. Working three shifts per day, they processed approximately 65,000 pieces of mail per shift. Embracing their motto, “No mail, low morale,” the women cleared the two-year backlog of mail and packages in three months for U.S. military, civilians and Red Cross workers throughout Europe.
