Buddies Place Cat Rescue We are a foster based cat rescue operating out of Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas. To adopt a cat please visit our website to fill out an application.

Buddies Place Cat Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Cats are taken in and fully vetted. They are assessed as to what type of life style they will be most comfortable. Those that are adoptable spend time in foster care. This allows us to get to know them and see what their needs are and what type of home they will function best in. Then it is determined if they should be adopted privately or through PetSmart Charities. Every effort is made to see that they live out their lives in a happy & healthy home.

Pancho was found on the streets in need of someone to care. He had been spayed with spray paint and chemicals. His fur had to grow back and it took some time.

Abuse seems to always happen to the sweetest cats. He doesn’t hold it against his abusers. He simply loves everyone.

Pancho was adopted to a great forever home where he has another BP alum as his best friend.

Bess was living at a Best Western Hotel hiding in the bushes. She would come out to beg for food. We were alerted about her and drove to another city to find her.

She has now been completely vetted, spayed, shots, tested and microchipped. Bess is looking for her forever family where she can live the life she’s only dreamed about.

This little girl is so grateful and sweet. She is very social and loves to be around people even tho they let her down.

Bud, Lou and Laverne were living at a place of business surrounded by pallets and supplies. It was no life for these babies.

We set up traps to trap them and get them out of there. They loved their foster home and all the attention and comforts of a home.

Saving the forgotten ones like Bud, Lou and Laverne is our heart beat….Our mission in life. With your support we can save more.

Braveheart is one of many reasons to give today on North Texas Giving Day. We rescued him off the streets in February and he has had quite a battle.

Someone poured a chemical on his back and it is a large wound that has required vet care for the past 6 months.

His case is a hard one. We are so thankful for our amazing vet and all her efforts to help him recover.

Your support today will help us help him and others that need medical care. He is one of MANY big need cats we have rescued this year.

Today is North Texas Giving Day!! A day of hope for us and all the kitties waiting to be saved.

Many of you know we have been trapping kittens and cats at a trailer park since September 27, 2022.

Some of them are very sick, injured, hit by cars, kittens without moms, starving and all needing spayed and neutered.

One of those miracles is Mira!

Over the past 4 years Buddies Place has rescued 300+ kittens and adults from this trailer park and found them forever homes.

One special kitten was rescued on June 30th. Her name is Mira. I had finished trapping that day and had my goal of 10 when I looked down and this young emaciated kitten was trying to eat tuna that was inside a trap still set for an adult. This kitten would not be able to set off the trap because she was nothing but bones and too light weight.

My decision was to get her fast before she had time to run so I reached down and quickly shut the trap door. Once I was able to check her I knew she was in trouble.

Her gums were pale and she was lifeless. I rushed her to the closest animal ER and they informed me they had no vet and I could go 20 miles to another clinic called VEG.

All I could do is think she would be dead by then. I made it to VEG and she was barely alive, still barely moving.

They immediately started working on her and she was admitted for 4 days with IV catheters in her neck and leg for blood draws and antibiotics.

She had no red blood cells due to fleas draining her little body of less than 1 pound. She received fluids, antibiotics and had to have 2 blood transfusions. Miraculously she was discharged on July 4th.

Today she is 4 months old and a very healthy and happy little girl almost ready to find a forever home.

To save her life was not cheap but her life was worth it.

We really need your support today more than ever. If someone asked me “What is the one thing that closes down a rescue?” My answer would be NO MONEY.
