When a meet and greet goes so well that the new siblings are snoozing and almost playing footsie by the end, your heart is simply happy. We are soooo happy that Penny is starting on the right paw in her foster-to-adopt trial with her new big brother Max.

8 months old. 21 pounds. And somehow, still sweet as pie. 💔

This little pittie puppy has clearly been through far more than any baby should endure. Emaciated, covered in painful skin lesions, and showing signs of suspected abuse.

And yet? He still looks at people with those big, hopeful eyes. He still wants love. He still believes humans can be good.

We want SO badly to be the rescue that changes his story. But we can’t do it without a home willing to give him a chance.

🚨 WE NEED A FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT! 🚨

We’ll help him heal. We’ll help him learn what love feels like. We just need someone to open their home while he gets there.

Let’s bust this baby out of the shelter together.

Marmalade can get comfy anywhere she can stretch out. One of her favorite pastimes are belly rubs and we know she’s feeling infinitely better in her mobility because she rolls over for them alllllll the time. Marmy’s care team has also come to the conclusion that she’s healthy, happy, and comfortable enough to find herself a furever home that will spoil her until her health eventually declines. If you are looking for a perfect puppy shnoodle, or two, Doc and Dixie are somehow still available. We’re as baffled as you are. At 11 months old and just 30-35lb, they’re IDEAL adoptable pups. Let’s review a few things:

THE PERKS:
🤍 Perfectly medium sized
🤍 Amazing with all animals (dogs, cats, you name it)
🤍 Sweet, loving and eager to please
🤍 Excelling with potty training. Already crate trained.
🤍 Fully vetted, heartworm negative, spayed/neutered and microchipped

THE CATCHES:
🐾 Can be adopted together or individually to homes with other dog companions
🐾 May need to be groomed here and there if you like fancy haircuts ;)

Were we keeping Ernie a secret?…maybe.

This 15lb wispy-furred, long-legged cuddle bug has the saddest story. He was found in hurst snuggled up with his BFF, a larger pit-mix that had tragically been hit by a car. Ernie was pretty shut down when he came to us but with a few weeks of TLC, his confidence has grown, and he’s proven to be ultra affectionate, friendly with all dogs and cats, and amazing with his house skills. As you’d expect, he also unapologetically sleeps curled up next to his human at night. Ernie hasn’t made it onto our website yet… we wanted to give our followed first dibs! 💔 TWO YEARS. 730 DAYS. STILL WAITING FOR HER FAMILY.

Two years ago today, Skipper was hit by a car. Thankfully, the driver was an incredible Good Samaritan who stopped, got her the surgery she needed for her injured foot, cared for her, and eventually found us.

For two years, Skipper has been one of the very best girls in our rescue. 🥹

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this dog. She’s wonderful in the house, loves dogs of ALL sizes, and has the perfect medium-energy personality. She’s just as happy being your couch potato as she is showing off her ridiculously adorable zoomies.

She’s sweet, silly, and easy to love. Yet somehow, 730 days later, she’s still waiting.

The good news? Skipper isn’t forgotten or unhappy in a kennel. She’s safe, loved, spoiled, surrounded by doggy friends, and receiving excellent care. She doesn’t know she’s been waiting two years for a forever home—she thinks life is pretty great. ❤️

That’s how we’ll keep it. Rescue means being their home for as long as they need us, whether that’s two weeks, two years, or longer.

Skipper will never have an expiration date with us.

On the anniversary of the day her life changed forever, Skipper visited the vet for bloodwork and a urinalysis—and received a clean bill of health across the board! 🩺❤️ She was also a perfect little lady.

A stranger gave Skipper a second chance at life. We’ve made it a happy one, but somewhere out there is the person who can make it even better.

She’s not homeless. She’s just not home yet. 🥹❤️
