This week our participants walked alongside the pros during the Monday and Wednesday Pro-Ams of the Charles Schwab Challenge.

From carrying a putter to carrying the bag to even sinking a few putts, our participants got to ask questions and listen to the wise words of the pros. The lesson repeated the most: Golf is a lot like life. You learn more from the mistakes than from the wins. But it's the perseverance, respect, and positive self-identity that get you through every round.

And that's what we're teaching at First Tee - Fort Worth. It's more than golf - it's life lessons.

First Tee - Fort Worth's Junior Invitational consists of current program participants who compete in a team competition around the Horrible Horseshoe, holes 3, 4 & 5 at Colonial Country Club. Family and friends walk alongside the ropes following their child in this unique opportunity. Congratulations on placing 2nd at the First Tee Hickory Tournament! Four of our participants took part in the event featuring hickory shaft golf clubs at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, Texas, this last week. Hitting old school golf clubs is no easy feat! Great job team!

Braden had a very impressive 🏅 T4 finish out of 72 players at the 5A UIL boys State tournament today! He had a 2 day total of 142! Way to go Braden! Braden has been a long time participant at First Tee - Fort Worth (Squaw Creek location) and a past FWJGA Boys Champion!

As we wrap up spring tournament season, we want to congratulate all of our high school golfers for their hard work and achievements. Braden's is just one of many stories of success this season! Keep up the perseverance and hard work everyone!
