Come run, walk or volunteer with us on Thanksgiving morning! The Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot raises money to help support the Westside YMCA Scholarship fund. In 2011 we provided over 600 program scholarships for families involed with our YMCA. We gave away over $200,000 in financial assistance.

Where are my history buffs at?🦃

Since 1981, the Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot has been a Thanksgiving tradition. What started as a small 5K with just 200 runners has grown into a community favorite, now welcoming thousands each year with 5K, 8K, and 1K races for all ages.

Now in 2026, we’re continuing a tradition in downtown Fort Worth with a scenic route past iconic landmarks.

More than a race - it’s a celebration of community, health, and gratitude.

These Finish line vibes were unmatched today! 💥 Huge congratulations to everyone who crossed the finish - whether it’s your first Trot or your 30th, you’re part of something special. Many medals were given, many were celebrated and love was shared at our VIP Coop presented by Farmer’s Brothers + Vendor Village for post-race fun!
