Two nights, two different events, one park full of lights.
Friday, November 13th. The 2K family walk. Untimed, open start any time between 6 PM and 7 PM, so you show up when you show up. Stroller-friendly, kid-friendly, and slow on purpose.
Saturday, November 14th. The 5K, timed, with two waves. The competitive wave goes at 5:45 PM for people who want a result. The run/walk wave goes at 6:15 PM for everyone else.
Both routes run through Franke Park while Blue Jacket's 200-plus holiday displays are lit, and you go through before the drive-through opens to the public. Everyone gets a long-sleeved shirt and a commemorative ornament, and there is hot chocolate at the Pavilion when you finish.
Cannot make it to the park? There is a virtual option, so you can do your 2K or 5K anywhere and still get the shirt and the ornament.
