Tree Canopy Growth Fundxample of what partnership can accomplish. 💙

Nearly 40 Indiana Michigan Power employees joined us for United Way of Allen County’s Day of Caring to beautify our Village. Together, we mulched, planted perennial bulbs and, in partnership with the Tree Canopy Growth Fund, planted new trees throughout our neighborhood.

This work is about more than landscaping. Housing means more than having a roof over your head. Families deserve to come home to a neighborhood that feels safe, beautiful and cared for, and to homes and surroundings held to the same standard we would want for our own families. That sense of pride, safety and stability matters for the well-being of the families we serve.

We’re incredibly grateful for the partnerships that made today possible and for everyone who invested their time and care into our Village. 💙

Today, volunteers from across Fort Wayne are showing up on Holton Avenue—rolling up their sleeves to help beautify our Village.

That's what United Way Day of Caring looks like in action: neighbors investing time and energy in the place where families rebuild their lives.

To every volunteer joining us today—thank you. You make this place better, and families here feel that.

Today is National Nonprofit Day—a day to recognize the organizations that exist not for profit, but for people.

Since 1989, Vincent Village has run on something simple: Fort Wayne showing up. Donors who give. Sponsors who invest. Volunteers who show up on a Tuesday morning. Community members who believe every family deserves a real chance.

Thirty-seven years of open doors. Thirty-seven years of families moving from crisis to stability. None of it happens without the people who make it possible.

To everyone who has ever given, volunteered, or spread the word: thank you. You are why we're still here.

Today is International Youth Day.

Here's what that means at Vincent Village: 71% of the people we serve are children—17 or younger.

Currently, most of them are in Fort Wayne classrooms on the first day of school—thinking about their teacher, their friends, their lunch. Not about housing. Not about crisis.

That's exactly how it should be.

Stable housing is what makes that possible. When a family finds stability at Vincent Village, children get to focus on being children. That's the whole point.

Today, we celebrate every young person who deserves that chance. 💛

On August 6, 2025, a community that believes every family deserves better gathered on Holton Avenue—and the first shovel hit the ground on something we've been dreaming of for years.

Here's where we are now:
19,800 square feet. 13 private rooms— including 4 ADA-accessible rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. A sensory room. A prayer room. A building designed from scratch for the families who need it most.

Families in our shelter today share two bathrooms and live in rooms separated by thin walls—in spaces never meant to be permanent. The new facility changes that. It says plainly that the families we serve deserve privacy, stability, and a home that feels like theirs from day one.

We're on track to open in November 2026—and it's happening because this community showed up.

Thank you, Fort Wayne. 💛 Swipe to see what Fort Wayne made possible. 👉

One week from today, Fort Wayne kids go back to school.

For most of them, that means a new backpack, first-day nerves, and a home to come back to at 3pm without a second thought.

For a child at Vincent Village, that home isn't a given. It's something their family fought for—through shelter, through case management, through a season that was harder than most people around them will ever know.

When that child walks into school next week with their backpack on, they're carrying something most kids don't think about: proof that their family made it through the summer. That their address didn't change again. That they belong somewhere.

Stable housing gives kids what every child deserves—a place that's still there when school lets out.
