Located in the Northeast corner of Alabama, the city of Fort Payne is known for its sweeping vistas, waterfalls, hiking, Cherokee heritage, charming downtown, historic preservation, music, art and of course its people. Main Street Alabama is affiliated with the National Main Street Center and utilizes the proven Main Street Four-Point Approach® to help communities organize themselves for success, improve the design of their neighborhoods, promote their districts, and enhance their economic base. Fort Payne Main Street is a 501c6 volunteer organization, that depends on citizens to make things happen. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors who represent a diverse cross section of our city, and who chair the various committees that make up the Main Street program, which are: Organization, Promotion, Design and Economic Restructuring. We invite you to get involved in working with us to help Fort Payne reach its highest and best potential via the Fort Payne Main Street program, because we know that when everyone moves forward together, success takes care of itself
