The SAM Foundation is partnering with the DeKalb CAC to hold an ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training) on April 23rd and 24th. This 2-day interactive workshop provides you with the skills to intervene with someone who has thoughts of su***de. Over 70k people were trained using this curriculum last year and an estimated 92k interventions were made, saving nearly 13,000 lives. This program has been recognized as the global leader in su***de intervention training. Because of their expense, these training opportunities are rarely offered in our area.

🚨Announcement Alert🚨We are so excited to announce that the State of Alabama is now fully covered by Dolly Parton's Imagination Library! This means that every county and every zip-code can now register children ages 0-5 to receive FREE books through the Imagination Library!

We are so grateful to all of our partners and literacy champions for making this goal a reality! We can not wait to get more books into the hands of children in Alabama!

“Ugga Mugga”!!

Judy & Samantha (representing CRN) had a “Grr-ific” time today with APT/PBS at the Boaz Public Library celebrating “Be My Neighbor Day”.

Boaz and Northern Alabama turned out. Nearly 900 people participated in a variety of events related to giving back to the community!

Coats & jackets were collected for children in need.
