💙 Better services start with understanding the experiences of the people we serve. Our entire TaskForce staff recently completed a year-long Trauma-Responsive Certification Program, internally led by our licensed behavioral health team, “The Support Squad.” 🧠

Five years ago today, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners declared August 24 Courtney Day in honor of our founding CEO, Richard J. Courtney, known to all simply as Courtney.

Today, community partners and friends gathered at the Main Library for the installation of a monumental plaque honoring his life, leadership, and lasting impact on our community.

Thank you to Commissioner Nan Rich, Broward County Housing Options, Solutions, and Supports Division, the Broward County Library, and everyone who continues to honor Courtney’s legacy, today and every day. 💙

Congratulations to Danielle Smith, a dedicated member of our team who recently passed her state board examination and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor!

After completing more than 1,500 hours of psychotherapy sessions as a master’s clinical intern the past two years, Danielle will now focus on high-risk situations and involuntary assessments for individuals who may be a danger to themselves or others. Danielle further strengthens our team of licensed behavioral health professionals serving our community.

Fun fact about Danielle: She’s not only a great clinician—she’s also a great cook! 👩‍🍳
