Members of our team recently attended the 11th Annual South Florida Behavioral Health Conference to strengthen the skills and knowledge used in our work addressing homelessness. 📚

Earlier this week, our Chief Executive Officer and Program Administrator were wheels up to City of Dallas, Texas for the U.S. Housing and Development Expo. There, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner shared how HUD is partnering with organizations like TaskForce to make housing safer and more accessible throughout America.

Our team also participated in discussions focused on maximizing underutilized public facilities and advancing innovative strategies to reduce homelessness.

Meet Ashley! This dedicated team member brings compassion, dedication, and heart to the work she does every day. Before joining the TaskForce a year ago as a clinical therapist, she supported children of incarcerated parents, helping youth and families navigate difficult circumstances. 💙

As we wrap up National Police Week, our team continued visiting and thanking partners at the Miramar Police Department, Gainesville Police Department, and Hollywood Police Department. We are grateful for the heroes who work every day to keep our communities safe, and we honor the lives of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others. 💙

As we approach National Police Week, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who protect our communities each day, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Our Rural Engagement Coordinator, Ahmad Beckford, recently joined Putnam County, FL partners for UPLIFT at Grace Fellowship. The LSFHealthSystems UPLIFT initiative supports churches and faith communities in responding to mental health and homelessness challenges.

TaskForce Vice President of Programs, Jacob Torner, led a session focused on reducing street homelessness and the important role behavioral health services play. Our team was also joined by resident TaskForce therapy dog, Sasha, to lend attendees some emotional support. 🐶🧠
