Celebrating movement at every age.

Today is National Senior Health & Fitness Day, and we’re celebrating the joy, strength, and connection that come from staying active. Whether it’s a walk, a stretch, yardwork, or a day spent moving with friends, every bit of movement helps older adults thrive.

We were so touched by the photos and memories our members shared of themselves and loved ones who served in the armed forces. While we weren’t able to feature every photo in yesterday’s Memorial Day post, we are honored to continue sharing them today.

Thank you for allowing us to help remember and celebrate your service and sacrifice.

Remembering those who gave everything.

Today, we honor and remember the brave people who died in service to our country. Our member Howard, a World War II veteran, spoke to the deep importance of this day and the responsibility we share to carry their memory forward.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a time to pause, reflect, and recognize the courage, sacrifice, and lives of those who never made it home.

We remember them today and always.

Community-powered aging is in the headlines.

Harvard Health Publishing recently highlighted the Village Model, a community-based approach that helps older adults stay independent, connected, and supported as they age at home.

A Little Help is proud to be part of the larger Village to Village Network, bringing this model to life across Colorado through volunteer-powered services, meaningful relationships, and a simple belief: aging is better when you are connected to your community.

Celebrating Brian, a fantastic volunteer, and a better person.

Today, we celebrate the incredible Brian Jones, the Stan Ulrich Outstanding Senior Volunteer Award in Larimer County. Brian, a retired CSU physics professor, has stayed busy by helping ALH older adults and also volunteering to teach physics to older adults with the Front Range Forum.

A simple caption cannot fully speak to the profound positive impact that Brian has had on students, colleagues, and older adults in Larimer County, but we want to express our deep gratitude to and appreciation for Brian.

Golden Key Club, Shining Bright!

A huge thanks to these students from Golden High's Key Club for coming out to help our member Cathy with yard work. They showed up with a smile and helped Cathy with the work that she can't keep up with anymore.
