🐶 Missy is looking for her family! ✨

Hi! I’m Missy, I’m about 5 years old, and today I was found in the Farmer Market area. 🥹

I’m a very sweet, loving, friendly, happy, and well-behaved girl. I love spending time with people! 🥰

💙 Can you help me find my family? If you recognize me or know my owners, please send us a message. And if you don’t know me, please share this post. My family might be looking for me!

🐾💚 Be Kind expands to more schools, reaches more hearts! 🐶✨

This month, our humane educational program, Be Kind, is reaching the canton of Otavalo, specifically the parish of Quichinche, to share an important message with children: the well-being of our beloved animals is in our hands! 💕

Through puppet shows and educational presentations, we teach children about the importance of vaccination, spaying and neutering, preventive veterinary care, and the proper care our pets need to live healthy, safe, and happy lives. 🐕🐈

We are delighted to have had the participation of students from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ). We hope this experience gives them the opportunity to learn more about the lives of animals in our community and strengthen their commitment to animal welfare.

💚 Our heartfelt thanks go to the president of the Quichinche parish and Ulpiano Navarro Educational Institution for welcoming us and allowing us to continue sharing this important message with the next generation.

✨ Every child who learns to care for, protect, and respect an animal can help build a kinder future for everyone.

We continue working with great enthusiasm to reach more schools, more children, and more communities. 🐾💚

Blankets, Pet Food, and a Whole Lot of Heart ❤️

Last week, our team traveled to the community of El Cerdado to better understand the needs of families affected by recent flooding.

During our visit, we identified the households most impacted and provided blankets to help families stay warm, along with food for their animals. We also ensured that every dog and cat in these homes received spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and deworming treatment.🤩

At Amici Cannis, we know that when disaster strikes, people and animals are affected together. By supporting both, we help communities recover more quickly and build a healthier future for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible. 💙🐾

⚠️📢 Attention, El Batán community! Let’s work together to protect our animals. 🐶

Fundación Amici Cannis would like to alert the community about several cases of poisoning affecting dogs in the El Batán area. We have received several affected animals and provided them with medical care, but we are concerned that more animals may be at risk.

We kindly ask all families to take the following precautions:
🏡 Keep your pets inside your homes and avoid letting them roam the streets unattended.
🚫 Do not allow them to eat unfamiliar food or substances they may find on the ground.
👀 If you take them for walks, keep them on a leash and pay close attention to what they sniff or try to eat.

If you notice suspicious food in public areas or your pet suddenly shows symptoms of poisoning, please contact us immediately. Do not wait for symptoms to worsen or try to induce vomiting without professional guidance.

Prevention can save lives! Please help us share this information so it reaches more families in El Batán.

🐶👂 Pokémon and His Ears: Picking Up Signals from Another Dimension! 😂💚

Meet Pokémon, a handsome 3-year-old mixed-breed dog who is part of our community. With his sweet eyes, two-toned nose, and those oversized ears that steal the show, it’s impossible not to stop and admire him! 🥹❤️

For now, our favorite big-eared boy needs a few days of care and lots of love as he recovers from a neck wound. We’ll be keeping a close eye on him and supporting him throughout his recovery with all the love he deserves. 🐕✨

Send Pokémon all your good vibes so he can be back to his best self soon! 💚🐾

🐾💛 Improving the Lives of Community Dogs, One Dog at a Time

At the border between the communities of Anrabi and Chilcapamba, we met Estrellita, a young mixed-breed dog with a gentle spirit and a heart-melting personality. She may not have a traditional home, but she is very much part of her community.

When we learned that Estrellita was in heat, our team stepped in to provide the care she needed. We brought her to Amici Cannis, where she received a full wellness package, including spay surgery, vaccinations, and deworming. 🩺🐕

Today, Estrellita is recovering comfortably in our care, enjoying daily walks, gentle affection, and plenty of attention from our team. These moments are more than acts of kindness. They help improve the health, safety, and well-being of community dogs while preventing future litters that may struggle to survive.

Once she has fully recovered, Estrellita will return to the community she knows and the people who care for her, healthier and protected for the future. 🌿

💛 Your support makes this possible. Every donation helps us reach more communities, provide more spay and neuter surgeries, and give more dogs like Estrellita the care they deserve.
