Meet the artists of Homegrown: Locally Sourced Art from the Rock River Region
Mary Tilton is an artist from Lake Mills, Wisconsin, working primarily in watercolor and oil. Her paintings capture moments in time and place, often with a story behind them. She enjoys the full creative process, from concept and experimentation to hands-on exploration. For the past 15 years, she has actively painted and exhibited her work, earning acceptance into both international and local shows. She has studied oil and watercolor through many workshops and is grateful to the instructors who have shared their insights.
Her current work focuses on Wisconsin’s landscapes and their ever-changing character. Abandoned farms and neglected fields still hold beauty and dignity despite the passing years. She hopes to honor the evolving landscape and the scenes that move her - Wisconsin waterways, rich soil, and the deep history reflected. As a proud Wisconsin native, she continues to find inspiration in the beauty of this state.
See the art in person! Stop by FAC during regular hours through October 17.
