Yesterday was a very bittersweet day…..
“The mission of Lettsew is to support canines in law enforcement and educate the communities they serve and protect.”
Our local K9s are trained to assist in
—explosive detection
—narcotic detection
—suspect apprehension
—searching for suspects and missing persons
—crowd control and building searches.
These small K-9 units have always been “FOR the community, BY the community, which means they are not taxpayer funded.

Through Lettsew’s hard work and dedication we were able to present each K9 and handler with a check in the amount of $5,550, totaling $55,500!!!!! This achievement is something that we, as a very small nonprofit, are extremely proud of. It has been an honor to provide funds to these units for various expenses, including; individual and group trainings, vet bills, emergency services, dental bills, training drugs, dog food, protective vests, leashes, reward toys, treats, etc.

We are truly blessed to have these dedicated teams in our communities. Thank you for all that you do to keep us safe.

Tomorrow at 6pm the LettsewK9 Foundation will be dispersing over $55,000 to the 10 K9’s that we have supported over the last 5 years. Sadly we have struggled over the last couple of years to find committed volunteers to help us with all aspects of successfully running/managing the 501c3 nonprofit organization. This past winter the board made the hard decision to dissolve the organization. If you’re not doing anything please stop down by the K9 Memorial outside the Courthouse in Jefferson around 6pm. Almost all of our K9s and handlers will be there ❤️.

Destiny and Melanie presented Officer Lawrence and K9 Smitty from the Fort Atkinson Police Department with a check for some specialized training the two will attend, as well as some leashes, a reward ball, and some antler chews! (As you can see, Smitty LOVES his new ball ❤️❤️)

We were honored to present Sgt Agnew with some requested items for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department’s K9 Officers! This is just one of the many things LettsewK9 Foundation does for our local K9s.

***Awesome Alert***📢

We want to thank this awesome group of kids!

They recently did a lemonade stand and of all the things they could have done with the money they earned, they decided to donate it to our K9 Unit----$190!

We are incredibly thankful for every donation we receive, but ones like this are special.

We had an amazing time tonight at Jefferson’s National Night Out! Thank you Jefferson WI Police Department for inviting us to be a part of this great community event! A huge shoutout to K9 Butch and his handler Sgt. Agnew from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office for hanging out with us! They were definitely the stars of our show!!

K9 Tilla from UW Whitewater scored some seriously cool Syntek Tugs, perfect for gnawing on during bite training, beefing up those chompers, and getting treats for being a good boy!
