Planning and work for our annual Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance is a year-round project. And not all that is old can be considered to be a classic. That includes our old orange fence that lines the show field.

Club members recently replaced the old fence with a new dark green fence, which will create a better ambience for those attending the show. Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 18, to see some of the best classic cars in the Northwest...and our new fence.

Make your plans to join us on Sunday, 4-6 p.m., at Waltz Brewing for our club's End Polio Now potluck. Bring your family and friends, and your favorite dish to share, as we raise awareness for Rotary's quest to eradicate polio. The bar will be open to purchase your favorite beverage. We hope to see you there!

What a difference 50 years makes! In 1976, our club presented $2,300 in scholarships to local students, as illustrated in this photo posted last week by Friends of Historic Forest Grove.

In 2026, proceeds from our Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance allowed us to present a record $32,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the local area, and another $14,700 to our endowed scholarship fund at Pacific University.

Thank you to our Rotarians, friends and the community for your support in helping us assist local students in pursuing their educational goals.

It's World Polio Day. Thank you to the millions of Rotarians, partners and healthcare workers who have worked tirelessly over the decades to bring us "this close" to eradicating polio.

When Rotary began its End Polio Now initiative in 1985, there were an estimated 350,000 new cases of polio across 125 countries. There have been just 48 new cases in 2026.

Smallpox was the first disease that humankind successfully eradicated. Will you help us make polio the second? Learn more about our efforts at endpolio.org.

What a great turnout for our monthly social and our Pints for Polio fundraiser at The Growler Garage: Forest Grove. Thanks to our Rotarians and our friends from the Forest Grove Daybreak Rotary Club for a fun evening — and thank you to The Growler Garage for helping Rotary International eradicate polio.

Last week, club members celebrated with Pacific University as they opened Homecoming 2026 with its Evening of Thanks event, honoring those who support Pacific's mission of providing high-quality higher education.

The Rotary Club of Forest Grove has enjoyed a long relationship with Pacific, partnering with the university on several projects and providing philanthropic support. Pacific is the home site for weekly club meetings and our two biggest fundraisers, Plates for Passports (Steak Feed) and the Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance.

Our impact is visible in peace poles installed last year on the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses, the Centennial Garden and labyrinth near Old College Hall, and the stage on the east side of Marsh Hall. Our impact is felt by students through the club's current use and endowed scholarship funds.

We are proud partners with Pacific University and proud to be part of the Pacific family. Go Boxers! Rotary District 5100
