Happy Earth Day! 🌎💕Meeting is tomorrow at the senior center in Forest Grove at 7 PM please feel free to bring rocks or fossils to show off to a wonderful group of kids!
And as rock hounds I wish you all a very special earth day as we can truly appreciate what the earth 🌎 has provided us. Below are some rocks that remind us of earth.

Did you know? As a nonprofit club we also offer a free juniors learning group, to learn more about the topics of mineralogy, geology, and earth related subjects. 🦖🦕🌎🌋🏔️

Come see us at the show to learn more  March 13 through the 15th @

We have one last meeting coming up November 13 where we will have our annual elections of board members. No meeting for Thanksgiving, but we do have a member holiday dinner on Saturday December 13. More details are to come. We also look forward to seeing you at our next show in March 2026.

Julian Grey will be talking this Thursday about this interesting topic at our 730 meeting. Please come and join. Also, we will be talking about upcoming events such as the chuckwagon this month and the Portland regional gem and mineral show.

Mar 13 – Meeting “Gain a deeper & discover a new perspective on how geology created our magnificent scenery” by Bob Oblack this Thursday at the Forest Grove senior center

Congratulations to our winning case which was the memorial case of Darlene Wozniac. A most wonderful and thoughtful wire wrapper teacher for the Club.

What a fabulous show I hope everybody got some goodies! Congratulations also go to our fabulous volunteers!

The award-winning Green Mineral garden display is on the move! This Friday - Sunday (3/7 - 3/9) you can see it at the Tualatin Valley Gem Club Tualatin Valley Rock and Gem Show!

There will also be:
Vendors and displays/exhibits of rocks, minerals, fossils, lapidary and more.
Kids corner games
Silent Auction
Demonstrations
Raffles and Door prizes
Admission is $1 at door only (cash only), kids 12 and under free with paying adult (no ATM available at location)
The show is at the National Guard Armory, 2950 Taylor Way, Forest Grove.
