The Help Center will have a table at the Earth Month festival. Drop by and see us. We will also be collecting canned goods at the Festival. See you there!

Shoals Earth Month, Inc. earth day fest is this Saturday! Free music, yoga, vendors (Mothering Herbs) recycling drop off, kids activities and door prizes!

Hey friends! We haven't been very active on this page as we've been wrapping up the season, but we wanted everyone to be aware that we are sheltering tonight and tomorrow (Tuesday) night due to the freezing temperatures.

Alabama weather doesn't work on a schedule and God decided we needed a couple more days with our friends!!

So please spread the word that no one has to sleep outside and we are prepared to serve them!!

Thank you all for the beautiful support you have shown our guests throughout the season - they have been safer for it 🩵

If you are looking for a place to volunteer and help out local people in need, we are needing volunteers in our outreach program here at the Help Center. Listed below are current volunteer needs. If you would like to assist in any of these please message us here or give us a call at 256-766-7663 . We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8-12.

1.) We need someone who has a truck that is able to pull a 5000 lb trailer to transport food from the warehouse to our food pantry on Mondays from 8-12.

2.) We need volunteers to pick up liter from our parking lot on each day we are open.

3.) Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-12 we need people to tape up boxes used in the food distribution area.

4.) Most Thursdays we need one person to arrive at 10:30 AM to help get center opened and prepared to receive food from the Huntsville Food bank. They along with one more ( also need a volunteer for) that should arrive at 11:00 AM must be physcally able to lift food boxes from trailer and place in food storage building.

5.) We need volunteers to agree to be backups if needed in food pantry or on the food counter or in the intake booth or clothing closet.

6.) on Friday from 8-12 we need a extra volunteer to help place food in the clients vehicles and to also bring frozen meats from the freezer to the distribution counter.

7.) On Wednesday from 8-12 we need an extra volunteer to help pack boxes of food to give out to clients.
