A message from our President ❤️🤍
My name is Kattie Young, and this will be my fifth year as a member of the Junior League of the Shoals. I am honored and excited to serve as the next President of JLS!
JLS was first established in 1934 as the Junior League Auxiliary which was later formed The Muscle Shoals District Service League in 1935. In 2006, we were admitted to the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). For 92 years, women of the Shoals have been a force for positive change in our community. Generations of League members have developed leaders, advanced volunteerism and assisted with supporting local nonprofits across the Shoals area. Today, we continue to write the story of JLS and how we impact the lives and future of women and children in Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale counties.
I am excited for the year ahead and the opportunity to work alongside such an incredible group of women as we continue to strengthen our community and make a difference in the lives of women and children across the Shoals.
Ladies, if you've been looking for a sign to get involved in our community, this is it! I encourage you to give us a chance, you might just find the connection and support you've been looking for.
I would like to personally invite you to our Game Night on July 15 @ 5pm at April Twenty Ninth and/or Coffee & Conversations on August 2 @ 4pm at Groundhog Coffee Co. If neither of these dates work with your schedule, reach out to me at [email protected].
EVERY woman. ALL things. Includes all ages (21+), races, backgrounds, ethnicities, homegrown locals, transplant, retired, entry level, college grads, etc.~ it’s OUR communities ❤️🤍❤️🤍
