Home Free Haven is a 501(c)3 organization operating in Florence, Alabama. Our mission is to provide shelter, support, and hope to our unhoused and underserved neighbors across the Shoals. Collaborating closely with local churches and organizations, we furnish a safe haven during the winter months, providing overnight warmth, freshly prepared meals, showers, and essential supplies. Likewise, we partner with local churches and organizations during the summer to facilitate our Cool Down initiative. This program offers recurring opportunities for our unsheltered neighbors to find relief from the heat while accessing showers, nourishment, essential supplies, internet, and meaningful connections. We recognize the significance of sustained engagement and aim to maintain contact with those we serve in order to create long lasting change. Through our daily street support efforts and case management services, we strive to meet individuals at their point of need, offering assistance with supplies, nourishment, and connection to essential resources such as housing assistance, addiction recovery, health insurance, and employment opportunities. Our approach is meeting people where they are in life, with empathy and compassion, guiding individuals toward their desired path to a brighter future.
