African Drum and Dance Parent Association

African Drum and Dance Parent Association Kuungana is a respected dance company who shares there love for African music through lively, participatory performances.

They bring with them impressive traditional dances from West Africa . Children and adult will find these performances entertaining and educational. The company is under the leadership of Baba Collins.

This morning we had the Spartan Bus Tour honor us with their presence. The Spartan Bus Tour is an outreach program where Michigan State University faculty and leaders travel across the state to strengthen community ties and explore collaborative research opportunities. The tour currently operates two formats: a three-day "Regional Route" during fall break and a two-day "Local Loop" following spring commencement, which is visiting Flint and the Bay Region today and tomorrow, May 6–7, 2026.
