Strawberry needs more than just a person; she needs her battle buddy 🐾🍓
We have to be honest. Strawberry has until August 31st to find a home. Not because of space or by any fault of her own, but because this shelter turns her into a shell of the dog we once knew her as.
Right now her foster home is the one place in the world where she truly gets to be herself, but when she gets here, the sounds, smells, and sights of the shelter will send her into a panic.
This is her battlefield... and right now, she has no one to watch her back. 💔
Now the part we really need you to hear before you fall for her. Strawberry isn't going to come running and flop over for belly rubs the first time you meet her. Somewhere along the way, she learned that people aren't always safe, so getting to know her takes more than one visit.
Each time you show up, she comes a little closer and trusts you a little more. This is a dog you earn slowly, and the people who have experienced this will tell you there's nothing like the moment she finally looks at you and decides you're safe.
On the other side of that trust, you'll find a three-year-old goofball who wakes up sure that today's the best day ever. She'll hold eye contact while she licks peanut butter off a spoon like it's sacred. She's housebroken, quick to learn, and once she chooses you, she's all the way yours. Her foster family has watched it happen.
She'd be happiest with no other pets, and she will need an adult-only home. We know Strawberry will love you with everything she has the moment she believes she can. She just needs you to reach out to us and ask about her.
