When doctors told Reverend Max Colaw that he had esophageal cancer, he knew he was at the beginning of a long treatment process; but he didn’t yet understand how that diagnosis would shape the ministry God would give him in the years that followed.

Rev. Max Colaw’s experience of cancer diagnosis allowed him to walk with others through suffering, disease and death.

Every Tuesday evening, a small team of volunteers at Parkview Wesleyan Church in Chesterfield, Indiana shares a hot meal with anyone in their community who comes to ask for one.

Parkview Wesleyan ladies saw a need, listened to the Spirit and put a plan into action.

Stand with Nepal in Prayer

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

We join our Wesleyan family in praying for Nepal following a devastating flash flood that swept through communities near central Nepal and the Tibet border Wednesday.

Lives have been lost and hundreds are missing as rescue efforts continue. Homes and critical infrastructure have been destroyed across affected areas.

Wesleyan churches in the Nuwakot and Dhading districts have asked for urgent prayer. We are still waiting to learn the full impact on our churches and communities.

Please pray for:
> Those stranded, missing, or grieving the loss of loved ones
> Those who have lost homes and livelihoods, and for rescue teams working in dangerous conditions
> Our pastors, leaders, and Wesleyan churches as they serve their communities

Pray that God would bring comfort, protection and provision, and that our Wesleyan family would be a source of Christ’s love and hope to those who are suffering.

The Indiana South District has elected Reverend Tony Bye as its next district superintendent. A pastor with deep roots in southern Indiana, Tony comes into his tenure with a vision for healthy pastors, revitalized congregations and new Wesleyan churches across the district.

Newly elected District Superintendent Rev. Tony Bye hopes to strengthen pastors, revitalize congregations and help Indiana South continue its mission to “Go after the one.”
