Was Developed To Help Families And Individuals In Our Community That Are In Need Of Assistance Due To A Hardship In Their Lives. This Can Include An Endless Amount Of Situations Where Members Of Our Community Need A Little Help To Get Back On Their Feet And On The Right Track. Every day, thousands of people around the state struggle to put food on their tables. Every week, nearly 40,000 New Mexica
ns seek food assistance. While thousands of New Mexicans receive assistance through SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program), those funds only provide 2.3 weeks of groceries.**
Pay It Forward is a non-profit 501 C-3 and follows the program guidelines established by the Food and Nutrition Services Bureau (FANS) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) federal program regulations. We are currently distributing food to over 600 families per month. Our food pantry is open to the public, and our Senior Citizen’s Program food boxes are distributed, on the last Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Food boxes are also delivered to designated low-income apartment complexes on a regularly scheduled basis.
