We wanted to take a moment to recognize and celebrate one of our own!

At this week’s Farmington City Council meeting, Philana Thompson was honored by Mayor Nate Duckett and the City Council for her many years of dedicated service on the Farmington Public Library Board.

As many of you know, Farmington Public Library is widely regarded as one of the finest public libraries in the Southwest, and that success does not happen by accident. It takes passionate community leaders who are willing to give their time, energy, leadership, and heart to making our community better for everyone.

Philana’s commitment to service, education, and community involvement reflects the very best of Farmington — and the very best of Desk and Derrick as well. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of our organization and grateful for the example she sets through her volunteerism and leadership.
