1 in 4 pregnancies ends in loss. Thousands of families experience infant loss each year.

These are more than statistics. They are beloved children, grieving families, and stories that deserve to be remembered. Through The 10.15 Project, we honor their lives, raise awareness, and support those carrying a loss that lasts a lifetime.

Meet Our Runners | Bret Holmstrom

Bret Holmstrom grew up in Kindred, North Dakota, and now lives in West Fargo. He is a husband, father, ultrarunner, and entrepreneur with a passion for endurance sports and adventure. When he’s not training for his next race, Bret enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Lanee, and their daughter, Junie.

Bret is participating in The 10.15 Project to combine his love for running with a purpose bigger than himself. After learning more about the mission and the families it serves, he knew he wanted to be involved. He believes pregnancy and infant loss impacts far more people than many realize and deserves more conversation, support, and resources for families navigating such profound grief.

City Feature | Jamestown, ND

Jamestown, North Dakota is full of prairie pride, history, and strong community spirit. Known as the “Pride of the Prairie,” it’s also home to the World’s Largest Buffalo, a 26-foot-tall landmark named “Dakota Thunder” that represents the town’s strength and identity.

With the James and Pipestem Rivers running through the area, Jamestown offers beautiful scenery and outdoor recreation like boating, kayaking, and fishing, making it a great place for a run with great views along the way.

We’re honored to feature Jamestown as part of The 10.15 Project and share the heart of this incredible community.
