Hey Region 9!

IAEM-USA seeks your assistance in gathering information from U.S. local government and tribal emergency management offices regarding Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) funding.

At a time when preparedness grants continue to face scrutiny at the federal level, this survey helps document how EMPG directly supports emergency management capabilities on the ground. Your input is critical to demonstrating the program's value and reinforcing the federal, state, and local partnership.

As in previous years, IAEM-USA is coordinating with the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA). NEMA is surveying state directors, while IAEM-USA is gathering feedback from local and tribal jurisdictions. The results will inform a joint report for policymakers.

The survey is available here: iaem.org/lt/?https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W3HW9ZS==2298CFAF-9C5D-4187-B034-3B74639FBCBB/GovtAffairs-EMPG2026

You can find more information about this data collection on the IAEM website

The survey closes on February 13, 2026

For technical issues, contact Julie Husk at [email protected]. For questions about survey content, contact Thad Huguley at [email protected].

Thank you for your time and for supporting this important effort.
