Today MWC DC completed the Ramadan Gift card Project. Alhumdulillah 213 families were served by the generous donations of everyone.
Families were extremely grateful
We met the Afghan refugees today. It was very heart wrenching to meet them. They had the best adab/manners and were so humble. Some didn’t have proper shoes even. But they all had come clean and neat to present the best front. May God bless them ameen.
They had the sweetest smiles.
One wonders why the Prophet s of Allah were so close to the needy and why they embraced them.
May God bless everyone for their continuous help for the needy ameen.

April 26th, donated Grocery gift cards to 25 families today at Bailey's again. A total of 70 families were served this Ramadan at Bailey's ES.

MWC Ramadan Gift Card Project 2022. By the grace of God and or very generous donors, we have helped several families both Muslim and non- Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan such as AIHM, Doorways, Bridges 2 Independence and the families at Baileys. (We served 25 Latinos and 24 Muslim families at Bailey's).
Ramadan is the month of fasting and giving and caring for one's family and the community.

To make the world a better place and to show compassion in action, Muslim Women’s Coalition (MWC) DC has been working to demonstrate in their community about the beauty of Islam. “Service to mankind is service to God” is MWC motto and with love hope and peace its guiding principles; MWC members have for 20 years embraced the needy community (both Muslims and non-Muslims) to uplift their self-esteem especially during the holy month of Ramadan, which is the month of fasting and giving. Through MWC Ramadan Basket/Gift card Project MWC has contributed hundreds of large laundry baskets filled with basic need items, and during the pandemic donated grocery gift cards. This year we hoped to serve the refugee families, families in different safe houses, homeless shelters and the “food desert” area in SE DC.
