💙 Day of Action - Acts of Service Spotlight 💛

For the past few weeks, we've been joined by AMAZING volunteers who've helped sort, count, and package over 800 new and gently used books 📖 These books were generously donated by our neighbors at the Fall River Main Post Office National Association of Letter Carriers Carriers and will be distributed to local agencies like senior centers, summer camps, and more!

💙 Day of Action - Acts of Service Spotlight 💛

At the end of May, our Executive Director, Kim, participated in the The Rotary Club of Fall River, MA’s Annual Blood Drive.

Donating blood is a powerful act of service that truly changes lives. According to the American Red Cross, every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood - from victims of accidents to those receiving organ transplants. Thank you Kim and to everyone who's donated blood in the Greater Fall River community and beyond!

Earlier this week, our team took a trip to Bethlehem, PA for the 2026 United Way Northeast Regional Conference 🚙📍

We learned about the incredible work being done by United Ways across the Northeast, exploring topics ranging from fundraising events and volunteer engagement to grantmaking and donor stewardship. We’re excited to bring these ideas back home to Greater Fall River as we continue working to create a thriving community for all!

Today, we had the pleasure of taking a group of veterans kayaking on the beautiful Westport River. With perfect weather and calm waters, it was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with one another, and take in the natural beauty of the area.

After two hours on the river, we gathered for lunch. To make the day even more special, one of our veterans generously treated everyone to ice cream for dessert.

We would also like to thank Osprey Sea & Surf for providing the kayak rentals that helped make this outing possible.

This memorable event was made possible through the support of a United Way of Greater Fall River Impact Grant. We are grateful for the opportunity to create meaningful experiences that foster connection, wellness, and camaraderie among our veterans.
