Royal Treasure Hunt!
Launching a US community-wide challenge for Romanul, for RUF - Romanian United Foundation and Federation of Romanian-American Organizations - FORA and for all the Romanian American organizations and churches out there!
A hundred years ago, in October and November 1926, Queen Marie of Romania toured the United States. During a New York event where she met with a group of ladies representing all the American states, the Queen signed personalized handwritten notes prepared for each state.
We found the note given to the person representing the State of Massachusetts. Every other state may still hold its own. We invite you to find the undiscovered notes in personal collections, archives, libraries or unexpected places in your state.
This is a great opportunity for Romanian American youth from all communities and organizations in the USA to participate in a special "treasure hunt" for Queen Marie's handwritten notes given during her historic 1926 tour of the USA.
The finders of these documents will be recognized at a special event to be held at a Romanian American community event during 2027.
