Our first meeting of the new year was wonderful! We inducted our new Chapter Officers and celebrated FIVE new members joining our Rebecca Galloway Chapter. Please help us welcome Joellen Boicourt, Laura Hawthorn, Angel Lewis, Julie Silvester, and Tammy Wallin to the NSDAR and to our chapter family! We’re also thrilled to welcome Barb Blandino, transferring from Oklahoma. Welcome to Ohio and to the Rebecca Galloway Chapter, Barb — we’re so glad you’re here.

Last month, 19 Rebecca Galloway Chapter sisters and family members assembled at the Diné Development Corporation - DDC's Navajo Code Talker Building on Monument Street for a deeply moving tour. Tashina, a proud Navajo woman, welcomed the group to the Navajo owned company, sharing her personal journey alongside the powerful history of the Code Talkers. The building features a dedicated museum housing the world's largest collection of Navajo Code Talker artifacts, with history lining the lobby walls. A special mural honors these brave heroes. These heroic men helped lead our nation to victory during World War II, leaving every visitor profoundly touched.

Nine Rebecca Galloway Chapter sisters headed to Columbus last weekend for the State Committee Showcase — including our Chapter Regent and State Chair for the DAR Good Citizens Committee. We had such a great time learning about committee goals and gathering fresh ideas to bring back home.

A big shout‑out to Tammy, who received her 3‑D printed medal for walking 250 miles in the America 250 challenge. Go Tammy!

Lunch had a picnic theme, complete with 3‑D printed ants as centerpieces. Thanks to Emily for adopting the abandoned ants — we know they’ll be very happy in their new home.

Rebecca Galloway Chapter members Janet Walker, Martha Kilgore Riddle, and Debi Ison Hicks enjoyed a wonderful visit with our Chapter Sister, Libby Pool Corona, last week. They presented her with her 20-year service award, her original application packet, flowers, and a gorgeous quilt lovingly made by Carol DeVore and Janet. Congratulations, Libby!

We had a wonderful evening celebrating patriotism, service, and community at our Annual Flag Day Dinner!

• Martha Kilgore Riddle presented our third 9/11 Memorial Flag to Mr. Bill Harchick of Calamityville, Wright State University
• Honored Robert Broger of the Fairborn Lions Club & Leo Club with our Community Service Award
• Received a Mount Vernon Flag from Nancy Potts on behalf of the Miami Valley Military History Museum
• Enjoyed a reading of the Declaration of Independence by Barb Parsons and Sandi Pocius
• Closed with a Flag Folding Ceremony by Barb Parsons, Jessica Congi, and Katie Scott

A meaningful night celebrating the values we hold dear. 🇺🇸

A huge thank‑you to the Lagonda Chapter in Springfield, Ohio for hosting us last Saturday and giving us a wonderful tour of the Pennsylvania House Museum. We had such a great time exploring this local treasure — and if you haven’t visited yet, we highly recommend adding it to your list!

Our Rebecca Galloway Chapter Conservation Committee spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon weeding and planting in the garden at the historic HHertzler House Museumin Springfield, Ohio. It was a wonderful way to honor Earth Day, give back to the community, and help this local treasure shine.
