David Shoop ’97 was named the 2026 College of Liberal Arts Outstanding Alumnus. 🎉
A U.S. Army veteran and first-generation college graduate, David earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Wright State before earning his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Today, he is the founder of Shoop | A Professional Law Corporation in Beverly Hills, where his work in product liability and medical device litigation has helped recover hundreds of millions of dollars for injured consumers.
David credits Wright State with instilling the work ethic, dedication, and sense of stewardship that continue to guide his career. His firm’s work has also contributed to the recall of hundreds of thousands of dangerous and defective products, helping protect consumers and save lives.
