Fairborn High School AFJROTC Cadets were honored to support the Fairborn High School Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony by proudly presenting the Colors and recognizing our graduating Cadets through a traditional Saber Arch.

The Saber Arch was reserved for seniors who demonstrated their commitment through at least two years of AFJROTC service or by choosing to serve our nation through enlistment in one of the military branches. As these graduates passed beneath the crossed sabers, they were recognized for their dedication, leadership, and service to something greater than themselves.

Congratulations to all members of the Class of 2026! We are especially proud of our AFJROTC cadets and future service members as they begin the next chapter of their journey. Thank you for allowing AFJROTC to be part of this special milestone.

Aim High, Fairborn Seniors! 🇺🇸✈️

FHS AFJROTC Cadets had the privilege to participate in multiple local Memorial Day Ceremonies. We joined with our local veterans to remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women who made the ulitimate sacrifice for our freedom. VFW Post 6861, Fairborn, Ohio spearheaded a ceremony at Byron Cemetery. Later, American Legion Post 526 held a ceremony at Fairfield Cemetery.

Thank you to our local VFW and American Legion posts for allowing our cadets to be a part of these moving ceremonies. It is a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom, and we are incredibly proud of our cadets for representing Fairborn High School with such respect, dignity, and pride.

Prior to the ceremonies, Cadets also assisted in placing flag holders and flags at both cemeteries. We appreciate our local Veteran Service Organizations for the mentorship and leadership in the Fairborn community.

FHS AFJROTC Cadets had the distinct privilege to support the 4950th Test Wing and ARIA Reunion at the Hope Hotel. It was also a full-circle moment, coordinating the event with Lt Col (Ret) Charles Freniere, a 1973 Fairborn Baker graduate and an OH-031 Cadet!

From the race to the Moon to modern flight testing, innovation has always required pushing beyond the limits.

The Advanced Range Instrumentation Aircraft (ARIA) mission began during the Apollo program, serving as airborne tracking and communication platforms that filled critical gaps over oceans. These aircraft became the “eyes and ears in the sky,” supporting space missions, missile tests, and advanced aerospace development.

Much of this mission’s success was driven by the 4950th Test Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with the 4952nd Test Squadron leading the day-to-day ex*****on, flying missions, and delivering critical data worldwide.

Though the aircraft and units have evolved, their legacy remains. When missions demanded global reach and precision, ARIA delivered and continues to inspire future Airmen and Leaders! Additional information about ARIA can be found at: https://flyaria.com/

The detail was directed by C/CMSgt Logan Williams, the American Flag Bearer. The team included C/SrA Eric Johnston, the American Guard, C/TSgt Brandon Lee, the Ohio Flag Bearer, and C/MSgt Lindsay Cummins, the State Guard.
