1,300 pumpkins? No problem for our Cadets! 🎃💪

A favorite tradition continues as the FHS AFJROTC team headed back to Fairborn Primary School to help our youngest Skyhawks get ready for autumn. Our Cadets crushed the mission, unloading a massive shipment of pumpkins to help make the FPS Pumpkin Patch a reality!

Beyond the heavy lifting, this day is all about the high-fives, the smiles, and the special connections made between our Cadets, the primary students, and former teachers. We are so proud of our team for leading with energy, kindness, and a heart for service. 🎃 🇺🇸

🇺🇸FLY DAY!!!🇺🇸

Yesterday was FLY DAY!!! Our Fairborn High School AFJROTC Cadets took to the skies for an unforgettable hands-on flight experience with Air Camp! 🛫

This wasn't just a demonstration—our cadets got hands-on experience in the cockpit! Under the expert guidance of Certified Flight Instructors, they:
✅ Conducted full pre- and post-flight inspections
✅ Independently operated the aircraft during flight
✅ Officially logged flight hours in their logbooks toward potentially earning their Private Pilot’s License!

Beyond the thrill of flight, this experience sharpens critical thinking, builds problem-solving skills, and opens doors to exciting future careers in STEM, aviation, and aeronautics.

An extraordinary day like this takes a dedicated community. We extend our deepest appreciation to:
• Rafi Rodriguez & the Rafi's Amigos Golf Outing participants for their generous support, which made this opportunity possible.
• Dr. Vince Russo & General Dick Reynolds for their vision and passion for youth aviation.
• The outstanding Air Camp staff & MacAir Aviation CFIs for inspiring and guiding our future pilots safely.
• Fairborn City Schools Leadership for constantly providing our cadets with opportunities to grow and excel.

The sky is no longer the limit for these future leaders—it's their playground!🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Skyhawk Pride in Action! 🏋️‍♂️🦅

Fairborn High School AFJROTC recently hosted the 1st Annual Skyhawk Salute Warrior Challenge! This unit-only, Raider-style physical fitness competition pushed our cadets to their limits and brought the entire unit together for a day of intense competition and growth.

From the grit of the tire flip and truck pull to the precision of the r***e relay and leadership skis, our cadets tackled every challenge head-on. The day was packed with action, featuring a plank challenge, obstacle course, and the grueling sprint-push-carry.

The most impressive part? The entire event was planned, organized, and executed by our AS 400 cadets. Taking the lead on an event of this scale provided our senior cadets with invaluable experience in management and ex*****on, while the competition itself forged deeper bonds of camaraderie and teamwork among all ranks.

Events like the Warrior Challenge do more than build physical fitness—they reinforce the core AFJROTC mission: "Developing citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community." By learning to trust their teammates, lead under pressure, and overcome adversity, our cadets are building skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and determination.
