Support can start with one simple question:

“How are you really doing?”

At Globe Northwest, we believe community care is built through listening, checking in, and creating space for people to feel safe, supported, and understood.

For 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, families, and community members, those small moments can make a big difference. A conversation, a resource, or a welcoming space can remind someone they are not alone.

Today, we are encouraging everyone to check in with someone in their community.

A welcoming community starts with how we make people feel.

It can be something simple. A warm hello. A safe place to talk. A reminder that someone is seen, valued, and not alone.

At Globe Northwest, we believe every 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, family, and community member deserves spaces where they can feel supported and welcomed as they are.

Community care grows through the everyday choices we make to listen, include, and show up for one another.

August is a new opportunity to keep building community.

At Globe Northwest, we believe care does not have to be loud to matter. Sometimes it looks like checking in, sharing a resource, inviting someone in, or creating space for people to feel safe being themselves.

For 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, families, and community members, these everyday moments help build connection, trust, and belonging.

As we begin a new month, we are grateful for everyone who continues to show up with kindness and support.

What helps a community feel strong?

Sometimes it is the big moments. Events, programs, resources, and people coming together.

But often, it is the small things that matter most. Someone listening. Someone checking in. Someone making space. Someone saying, “You belong here.”

At Globe Northwest, we believe strong communities are built through care, connection, and the everyday support we offer one another.

For 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, families, and community members, those moments can make a real difference.

What is one small thing that helps you feel connected to your community?
