BEYOND THE BAG: THE EMERGENCY SAFETY NET IN OUR COMMUNITY
📦Did you know that an estimated 15,600 Washingtonians are living with an ostomy? While the surgery is life-saving, sudden insurance caps, delivery delays, and unexpected financial hurdles frequently leave local patients facing terrifying emergency product supply gaps.To ensure no neighbor has to navigate a health crisis in silence, the North Sound Ostomy Support Group maintains a volunteer-run Emergency Ostomy Closet.We supply donated flanges, pouches, barrier rings, and paste 100% free of charge to underinsured individuals across King, Snohomish, and Skagit counties facing temporary supply shortages.
