It took me a few days to recover (I'm getting old), but we wanted to say thank you to all the attendees, vendors, food trucks, musicians, volunteers, Evansville Fire Department, Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office, Children's Museum of Evansville, Vanderburgh County Humane Society, TSF, Grafac Apparel, and so many more. Here are some great photos from the day. Please share more below. Please share any photos or videos of A Band With No Name. We somehow didn't get any!

Sharing information regarding public comment on data centers:

"Stakeholders,

As you may know, I was appointed to the Vanderburgh County Commissioner’s Data Center Research Committee. We are researching potential positive and negative impacts of data centers, and we are providing opportunity for public comment. I want to ensure residents are aware of the opportunity so their voices can be heard.

The committee is reserving the last 15 minutes of every meeting for public comment, and there will be a meeting where public comment will be the sole agenda. If you would like, you can voice your comments at the meetings so they are on public record or you can submit them to [email protected], or you can do both.

Meetings are held on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 CST in Room 301 of the Civic Center. The meeting schedule as of today is below.

Oct 27
Nov 10
Nov 17
Dec 8
Dec 15

The timeline may be extended and meetings added if we need additional time to conduct the work. Once the meeting for public comment is decided, I will post it on our social media. If you haven’t already done so, you can find us on Facebook at Fb/ EvansvilleClimate.

Please share this opportunity.

Regards,

Lauren Lynch
Director, Evansville Climate Collaborative
City of Evansville".

🍂 Leaves are beginning to show signs of changing colors. That means our annual Fall Leaf Collection Program with Republic Services is coming soon.

🚛 If you're an Evansville City resident who pays for trash service on your water bill, you can set out unlimited bags and containers of leaves for pickup by Republic Services from Monday, October 26 through Friday, December 11. Please note, this service is just for eligible city residents—not apartment complexes, mobile home communities, businesses, or those living outside Evansville city limits.

🖱️Click this link https://bit.ly/3TQmmJv for more info on how to prepare your leaves for pickup.

Thanks!
