HOLA se ha asociado con Community One para ofrecerte una experiencia única de servicio. Tendrás la oportunidad de impactar positivamente el vecindario de Tepe Park a través de actos de amor tangibles y aprenderás habilidades prácticas al participar en el proceso de construcción de una vivienda.
Durante esta experiencia, realizaremos recolección de basura y limpieza del parque en toda la comunidad, además de colaborar en el proceso de construcción dentro del programa Whole-House Rehab de Community One. Cerraremos la jornada con un almuerzo para todos los voluntarios.
Si deseas adquirir experiencia, servir a comunidades locales, conectar con otros estudiantes y conocer más sobre HOLA, el programa ILI College Prep y Community One, ¡te invitamos a participar en esta oportunidad! Happening in just ONE week!

The YES! 2K26 (Young Men’s Empowerment Summit) is a city-wide initiative bringing together middle and high school young men from across Evansville for a day of mentorship, leadership development, and personal growth.

Hosted by the YMCA, SIMA, and United Way Southwestern Indiana Amplify! in partnership with the City of Evansville, the summit will connect young men with community leaders, influencers, and mentors to help them build confidence, accountability, and purpose.

Growing leaders through learning, collaboration, and real-world experience!

On October 2, we held the third session of the HOLA Professional Development Series (HPDS) at the University of Southern Indiana (USI). It was a valuable morning of learning, followed by an engaging, hands-on discussion that connected leadership concepts with real-world workplace challenges.

We were honored to hear from Chief Phillip Smith, who shared his experience and insights on crisis management in law enforcement. We also explored two essential leadership skills: navigating resistance to change, led by Dr. Trent Engbers, Director of USI’s Master of Public Administration program, and conflict resolution, led by Dr. Sally Vogl-Bauer.

During lunch, we welcomed Chris Shellhaas, Brandon Fleck, and Jake Ward from Anchor Industries, who challenged participants to work through a workplace crisis scenario in small groups. Their discussion encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving.

The session was a success, thanks to our outstanding speakers, industry partners, and engaged participants who continue to invest in their professional growth and leadership development.

A special thank-you to the University of Southern Indiana for hosting us and to all our speakers and partners for sharing their expertise and helping make this program meaningful.

We look forward to seeing everyone again on November 6 at USI for our next session!
