They are needing 600 LBS to hit their goal weight. They have contacted Barb's Cap Fairy list if you are on this list & have not heard from a group, please check your junk & spam mail.

If you are on Barb's Cap Fairy list & no longer have caps to give, please contact her to take you off the list.

If you have caps to donate to the group in Wolf Lake, IN and can meet in the area Contact Barb & she will forward your email to the mentor of the group.

If you are looking to donate cap & lids, please email Barbara at [email protected] as she has started a list that she will be emailing all newly registered groups a list on cap donors to look over & reach out to.

I will need the following information:
1. Name
2. City & State you are from
3. How many LBS caps do you have?
4. Are you willing to ship or deliver in the area you are from?
5. Are your caps sorted & clean according to the ABC PROMISE PARTNERSHIP guidelines? (Barb will email everyone with this information)

We do ask all donors to think about giving a little funding to the groups to help with hitting their goals whether it goes towards their products they are wanting, travel expenses, shipping expenses, pizza Party, while they are sorting, cleaning & weighing. Every little bit helps.

MENTORS, please note when taking in someone’s donations of caps please be sure to go through the bags and get your eyes on each one before they come to us. Unfortunately, surprises do happen.

We suggest dumping the bags and using a magnet to grab any metal that might be in there. This will also let you see if you need to clean the caps.

Cora and I took a ride to Evansville, Indiana, today to pick up another Green Tree Plastics- ABC Partnership Buddy Bench. This one will be heading to Colbert Heights Elementary School in honor of Alize Kirby.

This will be the fourth Buddy Bench we’ve dedicated in honor of students we lost way too soon.

Hueytown Intermediate School – Jace Watkins

Cedar Hill Elementary – Jaydin Daly

East Lawrence Elementary School – Chris Hill, Jr., Ashanti Hill, and Shawntay Hill

Colbert Heights Elementary School – Alize Kirby

For those who may not know, a Buddy Bench is a simple but powerful idea. If a student feels lonely or needs a friend, they can sit on the bench. It gives other students the chance to notice, sit beside them, and show kindness. It’s a quiet way to remind kids that they are not alone.

These benches are made possible through Green Tree Plastics and their plastic cap recycling program. I found out about them through Abby Wilson and her Girl Scout Silver Award project interview I did back in the fall. Schools, families, and communities collect plastic bottle caps, which are then recycled and turned into products like Buddy Benches or you can buy the benches outright, which we did for these. It’s a great example of turning something simple into something meaningful that serves kids every single day.

A special thank you to Barb at Green Tree Plastics for giving me a short tour today and explaining how the process works. It was incredible to see how something as small as a plastic cap can become something that makes such a big difference in our communities.

This effort has always been about honoring these young lives in a way that continues to serve others. I’m grateful for every person who has helped make this possible.

June scheduling is filling up quickly so if you are looking into coming in June you made need to contact us to schedule your date & time to come drop off your caps & pickup your ordered items.

July Scheduling is now open.

Reminder June & July Scheduling is Monday-Friday only.

IF you are a group that needs to schedule appointments ahead of time in August, September, October and driving more than 4 hours 1 way please contact Barb, she will get you scheduled.

I have the following questions everyday:

How Do I participate?

How many LBS of caps does it take to gain a bench, Table, Raised Garden Bed?

Do I have to collect caps in order to get your products?

The Answer is:

We have 3 ways to gain a bench, Tables, Raised Garden Beds, Lumber, Trash Receptacles, Landscape Timbers, Parking Stops and many other products we produce from 100% post-Consumer Recycled Plastics.

1. We have the ABC (A Bench for Caps) Promise Partnership.
This is where ANYONE can collect Plastic Bottle Caps & Lids to gain our products at a reduced cost.

2. CPR Project If you are a Manufacturer or business that has material that is a Recycle #2, 4 or 5 that you can no longer use then we might be able to use to make Benches, Tables, or other items for your facility or community parks at a reduced pricing.

3. Retail Pricing This is when you do not have to collect plastic Material, you can just buy it out right.

The First step is to all 3 of these processes is to Register with Barb.

We are currently scheduling for the month of June & July!!

June & July scheduling are Monday-Friday Scheduling only.

Saturday Scheduling is not available Until August.

First Available Date is June 1st

As mentioned in everyone's Acceptance email, Welcome back email we need 2 -3 weeks to produce everyone's order. We make everyone's items specifically for each group.

When you are scheduling your appointments to drop off your caps you are picking up your ordered items. Please bring the proper vehicle to pick up your ordered items.

Your caps will go into another groups order as and another groups caps go into your items.

All Assembled Glacier, Adult Tables & Youth Tables Need a trailer, we will not load these listed Assembled tables into a pickup truck. If you only have a pickup truck or Cargo van to pick up, please consider UNASSEMBLED when placing your order with Barb.

Glacier Tables & Ozark Tables must come ASSEMBLED.

We will only load ASSEMBLED (1) 4' Hoosier or Denali into a Mini Van or SUV if you are getting more then (1) 4' Hoosier or Denali bench or you are wanting a 6' or 8' Bench and do not have access to a truck, cargo van or trailer please Consider getting UNASSEMBLED.

There is no extra cost for Assembled or Unassembled.

Good Morning Everyone!!

I have had several questions about scheduling for months that are not open yet.

The answer is yes!!

We have a little over 9,000 groups in 46 states that are registered to participate with us, and we understand that this takes time, in planning the trip to us in many ways there is so much more than getting the caps to us. Some need to take time off work, get a sub, book a place to stay, some book a trip on their way to us or on their way home bringing their campers, or renting a box truck or vehicles, borrowing trailers,

We understand all of this, and we want to accommodate everyone the best we can. So yes, we will schedule you for months we have not opened yet.

But to hold a Date & time I MUST have an order to place in that spot if you need to add to the order I will need more than 2 weeks to your scheduled appointment as it takes the guys 2 weeks to produce your ordered items to have ready for when you are dropping off your caps & lids to go into another groups ordered items.

In everyone's Acceptance email is everything on how to place your order in order to schedule.

If you have lost your acceptance email, please contact Barbara & she will email you a Welcome back email with all the revisions we have done up to this date.

In the pictures Attached is of the laundry detergent lid. Most of the Laundry detergent lids are Acceptable but this guy has a gasket inside of it.

Making this lid UNACCEPTABLE however if you remove the gasket, he becomes ACCEPTABLE.
