Going abroad can feel exciting. And intimidating. “What if my English isn’t perfect?” “What if I don’t know anyone?” “What if I’ve never traveled alone?” “What if I’m nervous?” That’s normal.

Through NGSE, Guilherme Riato spent several weeks in Munich working as a Backend Developer Intern. His experience included working with Kotlin and SQL, contributing to real projects, learning from an international professional environment, and discovering Germany along the way.

There’s a big difference between visiting a country and actually experiencing life there. During many NGSE exchanges, participants stay with local host families.
That means sharing meals, learning everyday traditions, discovering places tourists might never see, and experiencing another culture from the inside.
Because sometimes the moments that change your perspective aren’t on the itinerary. They happen around the dinner table. 💙

For Isabella de Souza, it meant traveling from Brazil to Italy to explore sustainable agriculture and compare farming systems between both countries. 🇧🇷🇮🇹
Her experience included visits to traditional and organic farms, research environments, university life, an intensive Italian course, Rotary activities, and life with local host families.
