Call for Artists: 8th Annual Humboldt Open Paint Out!

A judged member and non-member exhibition with cash prizes!

Back by popular demand the event runs from Monday, September 28th - Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, the show will remain up for two weeks after the contest. Awards will be presented on October 3rd.

Artists may paint plein air anywhere in Humboldt County, everything must be painted outdoors during the time frame of the competition. All mediums are welcome. �
Check in is Monday, September 28th and Tuesday September 29th - 8:00am-10am. Participants must get their canvas and paper stamped at the gallery before they paint on their substrate. Only stamped canvases and paper will be allowed in the show. All work must be framed with artist name, title, medium, and price. Artists will be provided with title cards to fill out for all works shown. RAA takes a 30% commission on artwork sold.�
An Entry fee of $95 for Redwood Art Association members and $145 for nonmembers will be accepted on first come first serve basis until spaces are filled.

Cancellations will be accepted up until September 13th. As part of an entry folder for each artist they will receive a rules list, map of Humboldt, and name placard with home location to be placed above RAA gallery assigned drawing hang site.�
The artwork will remain up at the gallery for two weeks after the contest. Take down will be on October 16th. Out of town artists may take their art down after the contest. �
Artists may have additional canvas and paper stamped any time the gallery is open.�
All art for judging must be hung no later than 1pm on October 3rd.�

Call for Artists: Redwood Art Association- 68th Fall Exhibition!

A judged member exhibition with cash prizes awarded to Best in Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Award of Merit, and Young Emerging Artist.

Judge: Linda Ganstrom

Exhibition dates: August 18th - September 18th

Online Entry: Friday, August 7 - Friday, August 14 by 7:00 pm. Entry Day: Saturday, August 15, 10 am - 3 pm.

Must be a member to enter, entry fee is $25 for the 1st entry, and $20 for additional entries. Individual membership is $50 for one year, or $35 for emerging artists, seniors, and art educators.

Cash Prizes are funded by entries! Have your friends join and enter!

Call for Artists: North Coast Lens 2026! (Photography and Digital Art)

A judged member and non-member exhibition with over $1000 in awards!

Exhibition dates: July 21 - August 14.

Online Entry: Friday, July 10 - Friday, July 17 by 7:00 pm. Entry Day: Saturday, July 18.

Entry fee is $20 per entry for members, and $25 per entry for non-members. Limit 3 entries per person.
