We’re going under the sea this fall! The Little Mermaid is our 2026 Fall Young Performers Company production! With a busy summer ahead fall enrollment is open early this year! Young Performers Company auditions for the 2026/2027 school year will take place on May 20th and 21st with cohorts for both Elementary (Grades 2-6) and Middle/High School (Grades 7+). Open registration Ensemble classes for Grades 1-6 will be offered Mondays & Thursdays. Registration is now open but the program is already at 90% capacity from returning family enrollment. Early registration for remaining spots is highly recommended! More information about Main Stage Education programs is available at mainstagehumboldt.org

We’re thrilled to welcome Crystin Gilmore to Humboldt this summer directing ANNIE! Crystin has worked with us virtually through our Young Performers Education program as a teaching artist for the past several years. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her in Humboldt!

Crystin Gilmore is grateful to make her Main Stage Humboldt directorial debut. Crystin is an actor, singer, director, voice-over artist, acting coach, motivational speaker, and teaching artist who is not afraid to bare her soul. Directing credits include Once on This Island, Chicken and Biscuits, and A Christmas Carol with Charleston Stage Company, Schoolhouse Rock Live! with Queen Street Playhouse and Circuit Playhouse. She recently won an Ostrander award in Best Co-Direction for Caroline, or Change with Playhouse on the Square. Crystin is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. Today, she brings that same spirit, honesty, and joy to Main Stage. We are beyond thrilled to have the incredible .curry returning to Humboldt this summer directing FROZEN ❄️The Broadway Musical in Concert.

Krista loves being back in Humboldt County, a place that’s quickly becoming a second home. Most recently she directed Ken Ludwig’s Dear Jack Dear Louise at Key City Public Theater in Port Townsend, Washington, then followed that with playing Annie Wilkes in Stephen King’s Misery. National tours: Annie (Lily St. Regis), PJ Masks (Luna Girl). Previously seen at Main Stage Humboldt as Baroness Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music, Krista often plays gals of questionable morals such as Milady de Winter in The Three Musketeers, Lina Lamont in three productions of Singin’ in the Rain and Miss Hannigan in Humboldt’s upcoming production, Annie. Young Performers Company family 🌟🥹 Micah (Kurt in our 2024 production of The Sound of Music) went to support Berkeley who is playing currently playing Marta u/s Gretl in the Broadway National Touring production . Berkeley had a surprise performance as Gretl so he got to see her go on for both roles this week. So much love our YPC family 💗 We have the most incredible youth artists on stage and off!
