CSS supporters and social media followers-

Please take the time to read the following information about how CSS’s Development Team manages our social media pages for general transparency and to set expectations around follower conduct. In line with CSS’s diversity and inclusion statement, Community Supported Shelters does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disabi

lity, sex, religion, language, ethnicity, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or political beliefs. If you feel that CSS has fallen short of this promise in any way, please take the time to fill out the appropriate grievance form. CSS’s Development Team will respond to grievances and concerns expressed in our social media comments as our capacity allows. Responses to such comments will include the information above and allow an opportunity for any specific questions to be answered. Facebook defines spamming as “contacting people with unwanted content or requests. This includes sending bulk messages, excessively posting links or images to people's timelines, and sending friend requests to people you don't know personally.” Multiple instances of such behaviors will result in accounts being blocked by a member of the Development Team. CSS values our social media pages as a place to interact with donors and volunteers, share information about our work as an organization, and coordinate donations for those in need. For these essential functions to take place, CSS’s social media pages must remain a safe and respectful space. Thank you for your time and understanding!

For our last National Dog Month spotlight, we’re celebrating one last batch of magnificent pets who make our CSS communities feel like home.

Katy says it simply: “Thanks to CSS, my dogs and I have a place to be.”

For Sabrina and Zech, life with Kodee and Spazz provides support and comfort. “Having our animals helps with mental and physical health a lot. They definitely keep me on my toes,” Sabrina shares.

And yes, Spazz may be a cat making a cameo during Dog Month, but he insisted on being included. In true cat fashion, he refused to let the dogs have all the attention.

This week's community dog highlights are Sterling and Dahli La La! 🐾

Tarrah shares it simply: “Having a dog helps you love more!” Sterling is Tarrah's constant companion and support while living at Roosevelt community.

Olivia says that “Dahli La La completes Cam and my family!” Their bond shows how a dog can help build family and community, no matter where you are.

Join us for a ribbon cutting celebration with Community Supported Shelters! ✂️

We're excited to celebrate the opening of their new location, a space that will strengthen their ability to connect people with the services and support they need by helping to streamline care, and expand access to critical resources.

Strong communities and strong economies both depend on people having pathways to stability and opportunity. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate this important investment in our region.

Our 2026 Eugene REALTORS® YPN Sip of Summer Celebration raised our goal of $3,000 to donate to and we were so excited to present them with our check this week!

They are doing such great work around our Eugene area and they've just moved into their new location. They will be having a Grand Opening celebration on August 27, from 4:30-6:30pm at 2870 W 10th Place, Eugene. Please show support if you can!

"That's why we're asking our community to show up in whatever way they can. Take a tour and see the impact of your support firsthand. Volunteer your time or talents. Make a financial contribution to help sustain our programs. If your garden is overflowing, donate your extra zucchini, tomatoes, or cucumbers to help stock our pantry. Every act of generosity, large or small, helps create a stronger, more compassionate community. Because of supporters like you, hundreds of people each year find shelter, receive life-changing services, move into housing, and begin rebuilding their lives. Those successes are worth protecting, and together, we can ensure they continue." -Heather Quaas-Annsa, Co-Executive Director

Thank you to everyone who showed up to Sip of Summer and helped us hit our goal again! Every pie to the face was worth it! Can't wait to do it again next year.
