People often celebrate survival. But they do not always see what happens afterward.

The rebuilding.
The grief over a changed body.
The loss of confidence.
The fear of looking in the mirror.
The question of whether you will ever feel like yourself again.

That is where Varga Medical Art comes in.

We use restorative and medical tattooing to help people reclaim pieces of themselves that illness, injury, surgery, or trauma may have taken away.

Sometimes that means recreating realistic ar**las after breast cancer surgery.

Sometimes it means softening the appearance of a scar.

Sometimes it means helping someone feel comfortable in their own skin again.

And sometimes, it means giving someone back something they thought was gone forever.

On October 1, we are gathering at Venue 252 for our third annual Pink Ribbon Gala.

This night is not just a party.

It is a celebration of survivors.
It is a night of connection.
It is a way to fund the work we do.
And it is an opportunity for our community to stand behind people who are still rebuilding long after the medical treatment ends.

You will hear survivor stories.
You will see the impact of this mission.
You will laugh, eat, bid, celebrate, and help us continue serving more people.

Tonight at MIDNIGHT, Hypeman Charlie P Live is doing something completely spontaneous, completely wild, and incredibly meaningful. Granted he IS training for a much longer walk in the future from Eugene to New York…He starts tonight!!!
He is WALKING FROM EUGENE TO PORTLAND to raise funds for Varga Medical Art.

Yes. Walking.

For a cause that means something deeply personal to him.
Charlie lost his mom to cancer.

Like so many families, cancer changed his life forever. And tonight, he has decided to turn that loss into action by helping support people who are still living with the physical and emotional aftermath of cancer, surgery, trauma, burns, scars, and other life-changing experiences.

That is exactly what Varga Medical Art exists to do.

Varga Medical Art is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses the ancient art of tattooing to help restore confidence, identity, dignity, and self-esteem for people whose bodies have been changed by cancer, surgery, trauma, and scarring.

We provide restorative medical tattooing, including 3D ar**la and ni**le tattooing for breast cancer survivors, scar camouflage and restoration, and other services designed to help people feel at home in their bodies again.

And now Charlie is literally putting one foot in front of the other to help us continue that work.

At Varga Medical Art, we believe that healing should never depend solely on a person’s ability to pay.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our restorative medical tattoo services are made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsors, grants, fundraising events, and community partnerships. Every donation directly helps provide restorative tattooing for survivors of breast cancer, burns, trauma, self-harm scars, cleft lip repairs, domestic violence, surgical scarring, and other life-changing conditions.

Unlike a traditional tattoo studio, our goal has never been to “discount” medical tattooing. Our mission is to remove financial barriers whenever possible by building a sustainable fund that allows qualifying survivors to receive care through donor support.

When funding is available, eligible clients may receive services at no cost. At other times, we may offer reduced-cost services based on available charitable funds, individual circumstances, and program capacity. Every application is reviewed individually because every survivor’s story is unique.

This model ensures that every dollar donated is used responsibly and transparently while allowing us to continue serving survivors for years to come.

To every donor, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter: thank you. You are not simply funding a tattoo. You are helping restore confidence, dignity, and hope.
