Before June 25, 1938, there was no federal minimum wage. No guaranteed overtime. And children as young as 10 worked in American factories and mines.
That changed when organized labor helped push the Fair Labor Standards Act into law. 88 years later, we're still defending the rights workers fought to win — and fighting for even more. 💪

On this day in 1947, Congress passed the Taft-Hartley Act over President Truman's veto — stripping key organizing rights and opening the door to so-called "Right to Work" laws designed to defund and weaken unions.
79 years later, the same anti-union playbook is still being run. But we have our own playbook. We're still organizing. We're still fighting. And we're not going anywhere. 💪

💪 Every year, carpenters across the U.S. and Canada come together to raise awareness about tax fraud and the underground economy in the construction industry. This year, we came out in force, held 150 events, and brought more allies to the fight. Watch to see how carpenters will keep fighting until tax fraud is gone – for good.

As summer heats up, so do the risks. 🦺 June is National Safety Month — a reminder that hydration, shade, and looking out for your crew make all the difference.
Safety doesn't just happen. It's trained, practiced, and enforced. That's the union standard.
