The Etowah Lions Club delivered a bench aquired through the bags to benches program by TREX. Thanks to the diligent work of our bag collection team and the Etowah Community we were able to collect #1000 pounds of plastic bags. Our next bag campaign will start up in November so start saving your bags. We can only do one campaign at a time and have to wait once complete. The Marjorie McCune Community benefited from our last campaign. This is a Lion's owned and operated assisted and independent living community in Black Mountain NC.

A few of our Lions got out this morning and put up a carport shelter for a lady in Etowah. Pleasure meeting you Priscilla. Lions Kathy, Dennis, Dale, John and Debbie managed to not get too injured and got the shelter up so the homeowner could keep her new car from being pelted with acorns.
