Senior Markella Nacopoulos has been named one of more than 5000 candidates nationwide in the 2026 United States Presidential Scholars Program, selected from nearly 3.6 million students. Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Application is by invitation only based on superior academic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities. As 1 of only 170 candidates in the State of Pennsylvania comprising over 500 school districts and the sole individual from Erie’s Public School District and from all of the surrounding districts in Erie County, PA, Collegiate Academy is honored to have our own student, Markella, named in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The nation’s prestigious distinction represents a selectivity of less than 0.18% of all seniors nationwide. We are very proud of Markella and wish her the best of luck in what we expect to be an exceptionally bright future!
