The Erie Community Foundation joins our community in mourning the loss of Deb Murphy, whose generosity and leadership left an enduring mark on ECF and throughout Erie.

Deb was a longtime Foundation leader, serving as a Trustee and becoming the first woman to chair our Board. She and her husband, Doug, also established a scholarship fund at ECF and were honored last year with our Edward C. Doll Community Service Award.

Deb’s legacy includes helping to found the Erie Women’s Fund, which has now invested more than $1.4 million in women and families.

We’re deeply grateful for all Deb gave to our Foundation and our community. 💜

During Erie Gives, donors raised more than $40,000 for Make-A-Wish Greater PA and WV.

Since 1983, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 21,000 wishes. Its mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses is made possible through the generosity of donors who help bring those wishes to life.

Erie Gives helps support hundreds of nonprofits across Erie County, strengthening our community and improving quality of life—today and for generations to come. 💙
