October has been filled with sweet blessings!

From sugar and sweet bell peppers to bacon, cookie dough, stuffing mix, and more, we've been blessed with an incredible variety of donated food this month! Each donation represents perfectly good food rescued and given a new purpose—helping feed people in need.

So far this October, we've rescued 2,127,709 lbs. of food!

We're grateful for the generous food donors who make this possible and the dedicated volunteers who help sort, process, and prepare these donations to bring hope to ministries and families in communities across the country.

Together, we're turning food surplus into blessings!

Perfectly good food shouldn't go to the landfill when families are going hungry!

When food suppliers have more meat than they can sell, valuable sources of protein risk being discarded—even as families struggle to afford nutritious meals.

Thanks to a generous donation of pork chops, Blessings of Hope is helping turn food surplus into an opportunity to nourish families through our ministry partners!

Because every rescued pound of food is another opportunity to put hope on someone's table.

What happens when a calorie deficit isn't a choice?

For millions of Americans, food insecurity means more than an empty plate. It means uncertainty about where their next meal will come from—and potentially serious consequences for their health.

1 in 7 people in the U.S. face food insecurity. Meanwhile, perfectly good food is going to waste.

The problem isn't a lack of food. It's the gap between surplus food and the people who need it.

Comment FOOD FOR EVERYONE and we'll send you a link to help us rescue more food and feed more people.

Sometimes, solving a surplus food problem takes a little thinking outside the box.

Sweet bell peppers are delicious and nutritious, but their high moisture content can make dehydration a challenge. Our Dehydration team discovered a simple solution: freeze the peppers first! When peppers freeze, ice crystals form inside their cells, damaging the cell walls. Once thawed, that damage helps release moisture and allows water to escape more easily during dehydration. The result? A more efficient way to turn rescued sweet bell peppers into shelf-stable ingredients for our dehydrated soup blend!

At Blessings of Hope, we believe food deserves every chance to fulfill its purpose. Sometimes, all it takes is a little creativity to turn a challenge into an opportunity to nourish more people.

Rescue more. Feed more people.

Perfectly good food is going to the landfill while millions face hunger.

In America, 40% of food produced goes to the landfill. At Blessings of Hope, we're working with farmers, wholesalers, and retailers to change that—rescuing surplus food and getting it into the hands of those who need it most.

We're feeding thousands, but our vision is to reach MILLIONS!

Bringing home the bacon—and bringing hope!

Good food shouldn't go to the landfill when families are struggling to put meals on the table.

Thanks to generous food partners, surplus bacon gets a second chance to make a difference! Their frequent donations help Blessings of Hope rescue quality food and get it into the hands of partner ministries serving people in need. The bacon becomes breakfast, an ingredient in a family meal, and another way to show communities they are cared for.

What happens when perfectly good sugar becomes surplus? Too often, it risks going to the landfill.

But we see something sweeter.

By rescuing surplus sugar, we're giving this valuable ingredient a second chance to serve a purpose. Instead of going to the landfill, it can reach ministries that use food to bless families and communities in need. Because rescuing food isn't just about saving food. It's about recognizing the potential in what others might overlook.

Less hunger. More hope. Now that's a sweet deal!

These cookies got a second chance.

What started as cookie dough is now a batch of freshly baked cookies—ready to make their way into the hands of a ministry partner!

Our volunteers help transform rescued food into something that ministries can select and share with the people they serve. From dough to the Selection Center, every step helps turn good food into hope.

Good food has value. And sometimes, it just needs a little help getting to the table.
