Snip It in the Bud Ellis County

While supplies last, we will have surgery recovery suits available for purchase for $30 during the Namaste Spay/Neuter events. We have a limited number of male and female versions in sizes ranging from XXS - 3XL.

This is a great upgrade to the cone of shame. We LOVE these recovery suits and are so excited to have them back in stock.

As long as your dog or cat doesn’t destroy it, they are washable and reusable. Our personal experience has been about an 85% reuse rate.

Hey y’all. A note from our partner Dehart. It is so important that 1. You show up for your scheduled date and location, and 2. PLEASE tell them everything you know about your pet - seizures, heart murmur, obese, etc.

We have had a least 100 of our rescue dogs fixed here and we let them know each time we have an exception to a perfectly healthy dog. If your regular vet has provided notes of a murmur, or have recent bloodwork results - BRING THEM. If you bring a senior dog, opt for the pre-surgery bloodwork.

We love the Dehart team but we also have local full-service vets that help us make decisions about our dogs’ care.

An update about the Namaste event:

If you do not see Ennis as an option in the online scheduler for your selected s*x and size of animal, that is because Dehart is already booked up for those.

If you book for a small dog and show up with a big dog, you will be turned away.

There is very limited space in the mobile clinic and they have maximized every single inch of the clinic to accommodate 88 animals.

We are going to drop a truth bomb on you guys...

We are bombarded daily with requests from all over Texas from individuals and organizations alike begging us to come to their area. We appreciate the fan base, but it is not feasible for one dr to do that. We just can't be everywhere!

And everyone who reaches out to us thinks their situation is worse than anyone else's...but here's the truth bomb...it's the entire state of Texas. It's all overwhelmed with unwanted puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats. ALL. OF. IT.
Most of the southern states as well.

Educate. Your friends, your neighbors, your family on the pros of spay/neuter.
Advocate. Step up not out.
Feeding a stray? Make sure it's spayed/neutered. If you can feed it, you can/should spay or neuter it.
Write to your congressman and ask what they are doing about this problem? It will take ALL OF US to get our voices heard in Austin.
We are definitely doing our part...we spayed and neutered over 88,000 animals in the last 5 years at affordable rates or with vouchers.
We are on track to spay/neuter over 20,000 animals in 2026 alone!
What are YOU doing?

Make your appointments now! Don't wait!

If you need your pet fixed, please contact Noahs Paws Animal Rescue. They were awarded part of the $15 million State of Texas Spay Neuter grant. They reported Ellis County as part of their service area.

Their vouchers are honored at TCAP, SNN, and DeHart.

We rarely say no to anyone asking for help because we are COMMITTED to a FIX THEM ALL initiative, but it sure would be nice to see our tax dollars going to this.
